WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Please remember we are an outdoor party venue and can’t guarantee what the weather will be like. If it rains, you have the option to move the party to another date that suits both parties, or you have the option to move it to the farm shed. In this case we move all movable items of Opikopi to the shed and play with the children. We also play games with them under supervision, when the rain stops we move them to the track. This decision is discussed 2 days in advance. Depending on what time of year it is with the farm activities the shed might not be available, but we will always try to accommodate you. Yes, we are working on the shed idea!! Remember the light Cape rain just makes it so much nicer for the children to play in the rain.

HOW DO I BOOK?

If you want to make a booking, either send me an email, sms or phone me on my cell phone to discuss the various date options. When you choose a date, please email me the requested date, your cell phone number and the child’s name and age in order for me to complete the booking. You need to pay a R500 non-refundable deposit. The date and time of the party will be your reference number, e.g. 10jan9-11. VERY IMPORTANT – Every child’s parent must sign the indemnity form that is on the website, otherwise they won’t be allowed to play.

Please send me an email 4 days before the party that includes the list of names that will be attending, the party option that you choose, the theme and any other information that I should know of. You can also phone me, if I don’t answer rather send a sms, but please DON’T leave a message.

VENUE HIRE OF R700

It is compulsory for everyone using the party venue service to pay the fee of R700. This includes the supervision for the children, a set table for the parents, chairs, tableware for the parents, coffee (Jacobs), tea, sugar, milk, crockery (spoons, cake forks, side plates glasses, coffee mugs, cups and saucers). We also supply a hot tray if you need one.

WHAT TO BRING

The parent of the birthday child is only responsible for the snacks for the adults, the birthday cake or cupcakes and cold cool drinks for the adults. You welcome to bring ice as well. Also please bring along a few extra towels for those children that forgot it, and put some sunblock in. Sorry NO ALCOHOL

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE TIME IS UP?

The birthday child’s parents must please assist us when the party is over by making sure that all the guests’ leaves on time. We allocate 10 minutes for that after your time is up e.g. if your party time is 9-11 you must please leave the grounds by 11:10 at the latest. Reason being that on a Saturday we only have one hour between parties to clean up and set up. Everyone deserves a clean and organised party. We do the clean-up, you don’t have to. You can go home to a clean house and relax thinking of the day’s fun you had. Tip: bring some glad wrap and tubs for leftover food if you want to take it home.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE OPTIONS PRICE (STANDARD)?

With every option we include a standard party pack in a brown paper bag with a Ready-to-drink Oros, unless you choose a different option. Also included in all the options is a set table for the kids (no chairs). We will try to fit in with the theme of the party.

If you would prefer to MAKE YOUR OWN PARTY PACK (with sweets and a cold drink), you may, and I will deduct R20 per child for that. You are also welcome to do your own decor if you prefer. At all the parties we have supervision and we play with the kids so that you as the parent can sit and relax with your friends, having a cup of coffee and enjoying the party with your child.

TIME SLOTS

Parties in the week can be for any 2 hours from Monday to Friday.
Saturday parties’ timeslots are 9:00 -11:00 or 12:00 -14:00 or 15:00-17:00.
Sorry no parties on Sundays.

INDEMNITY FORM

Every parent must please fill in the indemnity form and send it with your child to the party. Kids that don’t have their forms with them can’t play on the track. Please see the form below in English and Afrikaans. You can print it and hand out together with the invites, or give the website address to the parents, so that they can print it.

TRACK OPTIONS

Children with the age from 3 to 11 years can play on this track. They can play on all the obstacles. Depending on the age and the option you choose for the party, we normally take them through the track explaining how everything works and seeing to it that everyone gets a turn, or they can do free play and we will supervise them.

FARM STYLE SLIP-AND-SLIDE AND OBSTACLE COURSE OPTION

This option is definitely a hit in the summer. The kids slide down a tarp downhill. They must bring along: costume, towel, sunblock, extra dry warm clothes. They can also play on the obstacle course.

• Includes a sweet bag (with Oros drink) with a party theme sticker with every child’s name on.
• A set table for the children.
• They can play on the obstacle course and on the farm style slip-and-slide and we will give supervision. They slide down a hill on a tarp with water. This event is water safe.
